British singer James Bay landed a coveted support spot on the highly anticipated Hozier North American headline tour. With the recent spike in popularity for Hozier behind his single ‘Take Me to Church’ it meant that Bay, his main support would also be playing to sold out crowds every night. On Halloween night, the tour stopped by Boston, MA and Bay did not disappoint.
Early on in the set Bay displayed his exceptionally powerful voice with the tune ‘When We Were on Fire.’ Another one of Bay’s many talents, his songwriting was on display with the beautifully written ‘If You Ever Want to Be in Love.’ Throughout his 45 minute set, Bay won the attention of nearly 900 people packed into the Paradise Rock Club. With skeleton face paint on half of his face, he got the crowd in the Halloween spirit early on.
Many concert-goers were spotted making their way to the merch table to pick up Bay’s EP. On a night where the buzzworthy Hozier drew most of the crowd out, Bay did a great job of showing fans what he is made of and why they should be following his career just as closely.
