On the Sunday evening of the AFC Football Championship Game, rock quartet, Seether, made up of vocalist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart, drummer John Humphrey and guitarist Bryan Wickmann, brought their fans out to the House of Blues for a night of Rock and Roll…and lots of Patriot game updates.
Opening up with an energetic version of ‘Gasoline’ to get the packed house off their feet, ‘Rise Above This’ immediately followed and really got the crowd moving. Morgan didn’t have to go out of his way to get the crowd involved. After an update that the patriots were leading at halftime, an intimate performance of the widely known track, ‘Broken’ performed with just Morgan and Stewart on acoustic guitars, really let the band feel the love from the Boston area fans. Each time the chorus came around, the overwhelming voices of the audience were almost louder than Morgan himself.
With the release of their Sixth full-length album Isolate and Medicate, new tracks such as ‘My Disaster’, ‘Words As Weapons’, and most responsive, ‘Same Damn Life’ made the cut for the show. The guys finished out their set with a fan favorite in ‘Fake It’. But after a short rest, and a 3rd quarter update that the Patriots were kicking ass, the guys truly ended the night with the Seether classic, ‘Remedy’, to a house packed of singing and screaming fans.
