The month of May just got even louder with the announcement of Rock N’ Derby. Rock N’ Derby is taking place in Schaghticoke, NY on May 20th, 21st and 22nd. The Schaghticoke Fairgrounds location is just minutes from Albany, NY and is going to host some of the biggest names in rock and metal. Festival goers can look forward to seeing Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, Halestorm, Megadeth and many more. Also appearing at the very first Rock N’ Derby are Sixx:A.M., Lamb of God, Clutch, Anthrax, Ghost and Wolfmother. If that still isn’t enough, Dokken, Trivium, Memphis May Fire, We Came As Romans, Scott Stapp of Creed, Pop Evil, Thy Art Is Murder, Currents and Wild Throne will also be playing over the 3 day weekend. As if that list wasn’t enough, there are 40+ more acts to be announced in the coming months.
Along with an excellent musical lineup, SLP Concerts and GameLoud are also bringing a demolition derby and pro wrestling. The demolition derbies are scheduled to be going all weekend long and feature a huge variety of vehicles and themes. The derbies are sure to draw attention throughout the weekend with over $10,000 in prize money going to participants. GameLoud is responsible for bringing
GameChangerWrestling to the fairgrounds all weekend long. With Battle Royales, Tag Team matches, State Pro Championship matches and more, Rock N’ Derby is going to have something for everyone to enjoy.
Just like many of the other festivals, Rock N’ Derby is going to have many different food truck vendors with choices other then the typical stadium concessions. With over 20+ food trucks throughout the fairgrounds, lines shouldn’t be long and the food should be great. For festival campers, food options will be available all 24 hours each day. To wash down all the great food, Rock N’ Derby is going to have a Village Of Barns & Brews. Guests can enjoy both micro and macro brews from throughout the Albany region. The weekend will also have specialty barns that host movie theaters, bars, VIP activities, laser shows and other sponsored activities.
Tickets are on sale now for $119 until February 11th when prices will likely rise. The festival also offers various VIP and camping packages that are available online on the official Rock N’ Derby website.
