On a recent Thursday night at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion two of modern alternative rock’s most popular acts, Cold War Kids and Young the Giant provided a reminder to whole lot of other Bostonians that summer isn’t done quite yet. With temps in the low 80’s and one of those midday summer rainstorms Boston is well known for the scene was set for a show that would end up feeling more like mid-July than mid-September. Though the tour isn’t an official ‘co-headline’ run, it sure felt like one with most of the crowd that came out favoring one band over the other. Both bands had stellar sets that got the Boston crowd dancing and singing along and nearly completely forgetting it was September, not July.
